Below where it is said the "Mahdi army and Sadrist, should have been US- backed Iraqi army and Sadrist or mahdi army. And of course the British had fled from a palace where they were pinned down just prior to Moqtada Al Sadr calling a cease fire. I thought it necessary to clarify, but the general idea I believe is clear!

This article written by Mr. Roberts is really about misrepresenting the truth! Mr. Bush is cited because of the contempt the Russians and others have for him. In large, it is about the media's complicit role in this overall scheme to "give" the American people "their news." "Speaking of media blackouts," and the statement that followed, I believe is crystal clear as to intent. We should not have to scour the internet to find events that impact our lives and our children's, as of course they come home in flag-draped coffins! Moving chess pieces on a board and pitting the Mahdi army and Sadrist against each other as at present misses the point and intentionally so! The "Flight" from Basra was an embarrassing event for a major coalition partner, and the whole US-led effort. It is for this reason it found no place in our nightly news. And for that I cited it. The whole idea is to "THINK," but we need information made available to us in order to do so. I am not here for mere masturbatory purposes. Our media is supposed to be ours for this very reason, to help us as citizens make wiser decisions. Not for those who seek to rule us to "serve up our news." We all applaud Robert G for his vigilance and we have done so. We savor such a fine article as Paul Roberts has written, but why do we need them? Because we are betrayed by those who wield the massive power of that very fundamental instrument of freedom we call the PRESS. John Wayne was an actor, now that's real. Those days are gone and most likely forever!! We cannot Police the World while our house falls down around our ankles, and especially so in a nuclear environment. America is already in trouble, the markets bear witness to this. The common man is feeling the pinch daily. Are America's borders safe? In L.A. there is no border. I am sure Miami is in much better shape. The problem with this latest enemy is that he is invisible. The fighting in Basra, Afghanistan, Iraq, Georgia or any theater of conflict may spill over into the cities of this country at any moment. This is why vigilance, for this is diplomacy required. @think. Excellent comment. Any equivocation of Georgia and Iraq exhibits ignorance of recent history, facts no longer matter. If people keep accepting rewritten (or conveniently forgotten) historical propaganda, don't see the forest through the trees, and don't "THINK" for themselves, we are in trouble.

It's too bad Bush won't see it since he "doesn't read anything". I wonder who in his cabinet would be the one to stand there in the oval office and read it to him? LOL This is great article from Pravda. Also, Paul Craig Roberts has been on my favorite daily radio show a lot lately. It repeats over and over 24 hrs until the next days show. Speaking of Media blackouts, I remember not long ago,questioning what was happening in bosra in Southern Iraq.For 2 hrs I scoured the internet cause I could find nothing from print or visual media but I knew the British were "In Control" down there. Or so I thought. I finally found a story out of London and then several others. It was reported that the British had to run to the airport, after a ceasefire had been called,to give them enough time to get out. Should have seen those tanks Rolling. After that I could only imagine the menu we're being served up in this "Free Society."... [ More ]

Sadly, the english speaking media is a reporting wildly different version of events than the rest of the world... except for that slip-up on faux newz, where the girl thanked the Russian soldiers for her rescue and told that it was the Georgians attacking South Ossetia. Americans may think they are a superpower before whose presence the world trembles. But not the Russians.

Those Americans stupid enough to think that America s superpower insures its citizens from danger need to read the total contempt shown for President Bush in Pravda:

Why don t you shut up? In your statement on Monday regarding the legitimate actions of the Russian Federation in Georgia, you failed to mention the war crimes perpetrated by Georgian military forces, which American advisors support, against Russian and Ossetian civilians

Why don t you shut up? Your faithful ally, Mikhail Saakashvili, was announcing a ceasefire deal while his troops, with your advisors, were massing on Ossetia s border, which they crossed under cover of night and destroyed Tskhinvali, targeting civilian structures just like your forces did in Iraq.

Why don t you shut up? Your American transport aircraft gave a ride home to thousands of Georgian soldiers from Iraq directly into the combat zone.

Why don t you shut up? Suppose Russia for instance declares that Georgia has weapons of mass destruction? And that Russia knows where these WMD are, namely in Tblisi and Poti and north, south, east and west of there? And that it must be true because there is magnificent foreign intelligenc such as satellite photos of milk powder factories and baby cereals producing chemical weapons and which are currently being driven around the country in vehicles ? Suppose Russia declares for instance that Saakashvili stiffed the world and it is time for regime change ?

Nice and simple, isn t it, President Bush?

So, why don t you shut up? Oh and by the way, send some more of your military advisors to Georgia, they are doing a sterling job. And they look all funny down the night sight, all green.

The US is not a superpower. It is a bankrupt farce run by imbeciles who were installed by stolen elections arranged by Karl Rove and Diebold. It is a laughing stock, that ignorantly affronts and attempts to bully an enormous country equipped with tens of thousands of nuclear weapons.
