Some people are questioning Palin's experience but my only question is if McCain wanted a woman on his ticket, why her and not one of the more notable Republican women? Condoleezza Rice for instance or one of the 5 Republican women currently in the US Senate. All the women in the House are up for reelection but some of them have years of experience and might jump at the chance to run for VP. i think the republicans are just trying to keep it close,and then enact some trickery on election eve,to sway them ahead by a vote,that's all it takes to keep america falling down!

By choosing Palin he will get some of the "just because" vote (just because she's female, in this case), just as Obama will get the "just because" minority vote. On the other side, you have a man with experience plus a new voice, a woman who can handle the pressure this election has to offer. People aren't stupid JustX, look at what Bill (monica) Clinton did previous to that, that is why Sir Hillary was defeated, they didn't want a three peat....! If you think things are bad now, Things will be twice as bad if Obama gets elected. Think about that before you throw stones.....

He is obviously hoping to get more of the female vote, but I think this choice will backfire on him. We can only wait & see. I saw her speak today and she looked unsure of herself, but perhaps I'm so used to seeing someone like Senator Clinton take charge and speak with so much confidence. I just googled words like Palin and nervous, and I'm not the only one who detected she seemed a bit overwhelmed. Of course she should be, but we're talking about someone who should be ready to lead our country. From what I understand, McCain was pressured into this choice because he fell behind by a few points during the DNC and you could see that many women were still angry. I just hope in the end people will let go of that and look at what's happened to our country over the past 7 years. From low unemployment and prosperity, to a huge deficit and a record number of foreclosures.... [ More ]

He may not be the doddering old fool we think he is. For my part, he must be a helluva poker player!! He just raised!! This is most interesting political situation I have ever seen in my life and I am enjoying every minute of it.
