			<description><![CDATA[<p>Another article reports that the woman weighs between 130 and 140 lbs, so her weight didn&#x27;t crack the toilet.  It&#x27;s hard to comment on whether or not this is a valid lawsuit without knowing the specifics. If she was injured just because she had to use the toilet, then I agree the pub has to take some responsibility.  Maybe restaurants should have signs &#x22;use at your own risk.&#x22; :-)&#xa0; &#xa0;In most cases, this type of lawsuit won&#x27;t go too far and the couple won&#x27;t end up getting much money.  They will probably be offered a considerably smaller amount to settle and their lawyer will take 1/3.&#xa0; &#xa0;$150,000 is nothing in a lawsuit.  I worked with a woman several years ago who was injured at Home Depot due to negligence on the store&#x27;s part. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>December 17, 2008 --- 7:15 a.m.<br /><br />ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- A woman is suing a Pennsylvania sports bar and restaurant, saying she got stuck inside a toilet bowl for 20 minutes after the seat broke.<br /><br />Kathleen Hewko of Delran Township, N.J., says she was in the bathroom at Starters Pub near Allentown when the handicapped toilet seat she was sitting on cracked and dumped her into the bowl.<br /><br />Hewko says in her lawsuit filed in federal court in November that she had hip surgery prior to the Nov. 19, 2006, incident and was re-injured when the seat broke.<br /><br />The lawsuit names Starters and Kohler Co., the company that made the toilet seat.<br /><br />Representatives from both companies said they couldn&#x27;t comment.<br /><br />The Associated Press.<br /><br />... &#x5b;&#xa0;<a href="https://blogs.lotterypost.com/truesee/2008/12/woman-stuck-inside-a-toilet-bowl.htm">More</a>&#xa0;&#x5d;</p>]]></description>
