We all have to live in our own time.... if anything on the order of collapse is going to happen, which it will, it might be a hundred years from now, or it might be tomorrow. If I've conveyed a belief in these posts that young people should be living in fear of such a thing, I've seriously mis-stated myself. I have no idea whether we're on the brink of collapse. what do you think will bring all this stuff to happen atlas? think it will be soon or decades ahead? ashamed i am because i have a daughter 8 months old today and a son on the way in november.its sad that us younger people might not be able to live a full regular life without some tragic event happening that will put everyone on the edge and cause widespread panic.sometimes i wish i would've been born earlier in history in a better time.

Rip I agree with most of what you said but I do think that at some point those of us "youngsters" are going to get sick of it. My husband believes (and I agree with him) that we are on the brink of a collapse. I don't know what form this collapse is going to take. But I believe that it will be an economic colIapse which will make the great depression look like a boom time. When it happens, I hope that I am nowhere near any kind of big city. There will be starvation, killing for food, disease, you name it. We will be thrust back to a type of dark ages. And it won't be just here. When we go, the rest of the world is going with us. I strongly urge you to read Atlas Shrugged if you haven't already. You will see that though Ayn Rand penned this novel from 1943 to 1957, when it was published, you can see the things she described happening today. This country can't keep going the way it is without something happening. The ones I feel the most for are my children. My son in particular. -Bonnie... [ More ]

It's the liberals who, by their very definition, wants to constantly change everything. The conservatives are constantly trying to clean up after the mess they create.
