Republicans voted straight democratic tickets. They were tired of it too. I think people voted for Obama for many reasons but I think it will be safe to say that for the most part "the pocketbook" was the deciding factor. I did not listen to not one speech of Obama's but I voted for him. I would have voted for a dog it it had been a democrat.

We were given the poor candidate McCain because of the ridiculous voting laws in the primaries and the FEC McCainFeingold election legislation. Amazing people forget what happened when. It was under Clinton that a more liberal policy of non-qual loans was signed into law and promoted to the fullest. Clinton the genius Rhodes scholar knew it would be detrimental to our economy which was part of the plan. Have the people here who are criticizing Obama even bothered to watch the weekly videos on whitehouse.gov? There is a big difference between being in love and being impressed. Regarding the "I screwed up" wouldn't it be nice if the other guy who was in the oval office just once admitted to making a mistake? (before all the devastation & loss of life?) From what I can see, the people who don't support Obama criticize everything he does, even those which will help our country. It's impossible for one man or woman to be everything to all people (remember what Lincoln said) but in Obama's case, there are a few who won't listen to or approve anything he says or does, no matter what the results. The vast majority of the news media in this country are pro-Democrat and pro-Obama, and there is not nearly enough criticism of our new president. He gets away with everything that George Bush was criticized for. Take, for example, all of these income tax cheats who Obama chose to be in his administration. I think when Obama mentioned Rush, he was only saying that kind of negativity doesn't help any of us. He said he hopes Obama fails which is not just anti-Obama it's unAmerican IMO. I know some people who didn't vote for Obama and don't like him at all, but they still pray he'll get us out of this mess. The campaign is over, but many people are still angry that Obama won. As for the economy, we were doing alright (not great) until the Democrats took control of the House in 2008. We went downhill after that. So who do you blame? Why, Republicans, of course! As for Rush Limbaugh, he seems to be holding up quite well. Why else would the Democrats want to institute the "Fairness Doctrine" if not to shut him and others like him down? When we live in a glass house we shouldn't throw stones. This is Rush Limbaugh and everyone else who is being critical of the President. Where was the criticism when George Bush ran the country into the ground? That was when the criticism should have started and perhaps, we wouldn't be where we are now. We all fall short, but instead of being critical, perhaps prayer is the answer. Criticism never solved anything. Just pray.

President Obama just became the US president not too long ago.The news media is very critical of him. Eight years of George push failed policies left us in the mess that were in right now. Economic meltdown and many American suffering as a result.Many small businesses have been lost and the big 3 automotive industry is in a process of collapsing unless something dramatic is initiated to save the automotive industry.George bush should be held accountable for wrongful use of tax dollars in Iraq and afganistan.War that put young Americans in harms way.Many got killed. A war that Americans should not have been there in the first place.

CNN.com/Cambell Brown is very Critical of our current president so is Rush Limbaugh Guy .He just needs attention. He is a big baby and big fat liar, embarassing to the republican party.
