I don't know about the rest of the members on LP, but why ban something that only hurts the person that takes it? AND puting a ban on Botox would take some of the enjoyment out of my daily life. I love to see pictures of actors faces after they partake botox, the faces look like wax or just plain weird. Okay, so that's not nice? They are Adults that are taking the botox banning it will only create a black market, who runs black markets? Criminals, who don't give a damn if its safe or not. Let people make their own minds up. How much regulation and laws are going to be placed on peoples activities and wants before there is an uprising? We as a people are already over regulated and over taxed.... [ More ]

I forgot there are smart scientists/people in the world because...If i was president of the world i will totally ban it...1kg = entire human race? talking about biological human race? suppose there is something like that that reproduces quickly and that it could consume the entire oxygen of the world or consume the entire water of the world....or produce a venemous gas....for some reason i've never trust bacteria or viruses....however ingeneering a virus i believe could have the eternal fountain of youth....... I have been taking the botox shots since the early 1980. It is used to treat an eye condition that I have it is called bliphaspasms. However, I would not recommend it to anyone.

Botulinum toxin is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and it is, beyond a doubt, the deadliest known protein. If the clostridium botulinum spores find their way to food or wounds, they will begin to release the toxin which leads to poisoning if eaten. It is so deadly that a mere two pounds (roughly 1kg) of the stuff is enough to kill the entire human population. It is so deadly that it is potentially useful as a biological weapon. This is the kind of thing we obviously want to keep right away from right? Well, no. Millions of people have this deadly protein injected into their face every year; it is present in minute quantities in Botox which is used to treat wrinkles.
