			<description><![CDATA[<p>101 arrests - his 102nd is pending<br /><br />By Jennifer Baker<br /><br />Cincinnati Enquirer<br /><br />May 18, 2009<br /><br />Timothy Akers should be a familiar face for law enforcement the 40-year-old man has been arrested 101 times, according to Cincinnati police.<br /><br />Investigators hope to make his 102nd arrest soon, said Detective Tamar Skelly with Crime Stoppers.<br /><br />Akers, a parole violator whose last known address was Cheviot, remains at large on April 2 charges of misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property, Hamilton County court records show.<br /><br />Cincinnati police accuse him of using an 81-year-old woman s credit card March 18 to make several purchases at the CVS Pharmacy on Seventh Street downtown. The credit card was taken during a recent burglary offense, records state.<br /><br />Akers served about 3 years in a state prison in London, Ohio, after he was convicted of an April 2005 robbery offense at a Rally s Hamburgers in Hamilton County during which he threatened a female clerk, records show.<br /><br />When he was released from prison in March 2008, he was put on parole for three years, said JoEllen Culp, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Rehbalitation and Correction in Columbus.<br /><br />Prison records show Akers has been in and out of Ohio prisons and on parole at various times over the past 21 years for several offenses out of Hamilton County:<br /><br />May 1988 after he was convicted of theft. He served six months and was released on Aug. 12, 1988.<br /><br />November 1997 on a domestic violence charge in violation of a protection order. He was sentenced to nine months in prison and released in July 1998.<br /><br />December 2001 for assault and harassment by an inmate. He was given a one year sentence and released in Aug. 9, 2002.<br /><br />March 2003 for vandalism.
