Well Serena and Venus had an eventful 4th of July. Serena defeated her sister Venus to bring home the Venus Rosewater for the 3rd time in her career. The final score was 7-6(3), 6-2. But the sisters still had work to do and they came out smelling like roses. They defeated Samatha Stosur and Rennae Stubbs, both from Australia, in the Doubles Final by a score of 7-6(4), 6-4 to win that title as well. This is the second year in a row that they have won both Ladies' Singles and Doubles titles at Wimbledon. I definitely look forward to 2010.

Congratulations Serena and Venus!!!

... [ More ]
