TennCare has been managed better in the past year but it has been fraught with widespread fraud and abuse by the people it is supposed to help. That abuse costed the state miliions upon millions. I know a guy who is self employed and makes around 5-8 thousand a month, lives in a $190,000.00 home whose family is on TennCare. I can't get with that. There has to be a better way. If Obama's plan can ge rid of the fraud factor then it will work. I have lived in other countries where if they are sick, they just go to the doctor and don't have to worry about a bill. Everytime I go to the doctor it costs me anywhere from $75.00 and up. My husband's medicine used to cost us 350.00 a month before his job came out with a plan where he can get his medicine for 20.00 a month. He needs it to live. I also know people who have no insurance at all because they can't work. Most of those policies once you leave a job are ridiculously high. Who can pay $600-700 dollars a month for health care and all conditions are not covered! Obama's healthcare plan may have flaws and not be perfect but to me the main thing is that we get a PLAN passed!! They can fix the flaws as they find them just like they did for TennCare.... When this man retired and he discovered he would have to pay more for health insurance, he moved to Tennessee where TennCare would take care of him for free. What bothers me is this man did not pay one single tax in Tennessee while he was working but was more than willing to let the taxpayers of Tennessee take care of him upon retirement.

Yeah really, they don't want to hear anything. As a matter of fact BO said during his radio address we "WILL pass healthcare or else!" Or else what? A very declarative sentence just like a bully. This definitely must be stopped...........call, fax, or e-mail, write your representatives. Do not be afraid to speak out.
