after serve 10th year (date code: 9936) the Seagate Medalist 6531 broken because of my sloppy maintenance, it fall 5 feet and then ta da i heard weird/noisy voice for the hard drive huh... i've expected that the hard drive will be broken since it felt 5 feet oh well i must use an old ST3213A although it have a bad sector but the hard drive work well, one thing to avoid bad sector i just disallocate partition and use the good sector because i think it already permanently (every time i overwrite with some data the bad sector appear again).

oh well although i've lost the data but i already backup some file in to DVD/CD and maybe later i search or create another spreadsheet since there are too many DVD/CD backup :(

well Hasta La Vista Seagate Medalist ST36531A, sn: GSB88735 one of the others rock/tough product from Seagate i hope this top quality assurance still on the corporate culture of Seagate although i've acknowledge that the electronics have a life cycles.

lucky number 6531???

... [ More ]
