			<description><![CDATA[<p>6.9 quake rattles Mexican state, San Diego<br /><br />Quake centered in Baja California, U.S. Geological Survey says<br /><br />NBC, msnbc.com and news services<br /><br />updated 3:09 p.m. ET, Mon., Aug 3, 2009<br /><br />SAN DIEGO - A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Baja California in Mexico on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.<br /><br />The quake was 49 miles from Santa Isabel on the Baja California peninsula and 9.3 miles deep, the USGS said.<br /><br />City Hall in San Diego, just north of the Mexico border, was evacuated soon after the rattling started, KNSD-TV reported.<br /><br />There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.<br /><br />Four quakes in the Gulf of California area, all measuring more than 5.0, were reported by the U.S. Geological Survey on its Web site Monday.<br /><br />... &#x5b;&#xa0;<a href="/blogentry/31906">More</a>&#xa0;&#x5d;</p>]]></description>
