Similar stuff has happened with normal deals after the person's trade in has been sold, therefore unretrievable. Cash for klunkers has been a rush job which will likely render similar outcomes.

Do they do that to every vehicle before crushing? Current vehicle is 15 years old and runs just fine, expect it to run a few more years.

But I want you to imagine that if this is the way the current set of politicos deal with perfectly good cars, how do you think they will deal with perfectly good older people? Yeah that's right, we'll just put some sand and clotting agents down their throats and recycle em!

This video is quite painful to watch for myself because I am one of those persons that love to make things run forever, and destroying a perfectly good Volvo that if cared for, can go 500K+ miles is disturbing. It is the same idiots that don't realize the environmental toll it takes to recycle a vehicle, the hybrids are even worse when their time comes.
