Under the current proposal which congress hasn't read themselves I'm opposed to allowing a whole pack of foxes blind faith charge over the hen house.

Thanks for your response. I have been at this job for the past 37 years. I started June 1973. I plan to retire from this job and from Nursing totally when I do retire. The field of Nursing has been my lifes work, not just a job. I believe, in the days when I went to school for nursing you were trainned to do your job with pride. Thanks Todd!! Very well stated. I haven't had health insurance for years, so should be turning cartwheels over the possibility of being covered by some plan. However, considering what this one looks like, will pass.

If you are under the impression that people will get to keep private health insurance, you are buying into the LIE that is being propagated by the administration trying to ram this down our throats. My personal mantra is take care of those in the US FIRST however niether party has done that during my entire lifetime and it sure isn't going to happen with this plan. About halfway down the page you might want to read this intelligence reporter's take on just what the health care bill is all about. Thanks litebets. republicans didn't do anything about it. It might not be a "Right" to have health insurance, but I figure if we help other countries with billions and billions every year, why can't we start with home first?....I always thought charity starts at home.

If oversight departments have to be developed to make sure that the regulations or polices that are developed are followed, then so be it. We have to keep those selfish politicians and insurance execcutives from profitting on loop holes or flaws in the system that they may find.

As far as developing hundreds of committees or departments to develop a healthcare system, I don't believe that chart no more then I believed George Bush's theory about Iraq. Thanks Maddog!!! Sometimes a picture .... in this case chart ... is worth a thousand words. Countries which have socialized health care are finding central planning for the collective hasn't worked. If Washington wasn't so lost implementing "the plan" they might figure it out.

Government takeover of health care is the final nail in the coffin of freedom. If someone is in the health care profession, then if they were honest, they would be able to tell you about how many people it would require to make it all work. It would take a workforce of literally millions of people to administer the government plan. It is a nightmare scenario that, if passed, would NEVER be able to be removed -- because it would put too many people out of work to do so. Shame... [ More ]

My primary objection is taxation which will have to be born by people much younger than me to feed those bureaucracies which are historically known for mismanagement and serving themselves before serving those they're set up to benefit. How are those bureaucracies going to be fed in a plummeting gross national product atmosphere which is happening in the real world? In my line of work, which is healthcare...I have to wait for authorization from certain HMO companies to approve of care while in the hospital and/or post hospital care. From what I can hear from this speaker, he is not giving out any new information. He is projecting a lot of scar tactics in a calm and easy manner.
