How true. Yesterday I told a friend about an experience I had at Publix on the way home from seeing a doctor. My toes were taped up and I was wearing a large black support shoe so I must have looked pretty pathetic. I heard a man shout out "You are healed!" I turned around and there was a nice looking, well dressed young man (30 something I think) pointing at my foot. He then asked me if I believed in Jesus and told me to read Psalms 103. Well, to make a long story short, I thanked him for his blessing and he gave me a big hug. Here we were, 2 strangers, hugging in front of the supermarket. LOL Later I told a friend and she sent me an email with a video of a purse snatching scam, warning people to be wary of strangers. I wrote back and thanked her, since she was being concerned & offering wise advice, but I can't walk around looking over my shoulder all the time. I guess this isn't really the moral of your story, but it made me think of it anyway! :-)... [ More ]

The Window Through Which We Look

A young couple moved into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they were eating breakfast,

The young woman saw her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

'That laundry is not very clean,' she said.

'She doesn't know how to wash correctly.

Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.'

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,

the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a

nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:

'Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.

I wonder who taught her this.'

The husband said, 'I got up early this morning and

cleaned our windows.'

And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

... [ More ]
