<br />I remember the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War when about 500 civilians, including children, were shot for no reason. Hugh Thompson, a pilot who tried to stop the killings, died a few years ago. His description of what he saw from his helicopter was chilling. When he appeared on 60 minutes he said he received death threats and dead animals were put on his front porch for trying to stop the massacre and reporting it.
