What happens if you hit the PB and have to split it with someone else who hit it the same time?..You studied and studied for weeks to come up with the numbers and they just bought one QP??..How would you feel?..Me,I'd be excited..

Some States are doing just what you wrote. They call their drawings "computer generated numbers".

Is the Lottery truly random?

They are many many people today who do not honestly believe that the lottery is random. It's the reason why we work out the numbers, check out threads, and look for the numbers that comes along with a set of numbers. Because deep inside, we know that somehow the numbers are not random! How do they (The lottery big wigs) manage to control certain numbers that according to simple law of average, should have come out and have not? Or how does a particular Quad stay gone for 4, 5, 6 years and sometimes longer? Can't answer that.

Yet, It is a matter of business; let's say we have millions of players buying a particular number, well; it is not going to come out!! The state is not going to take such a huge hit, having to make the payout the size of a small country's fiscal budget.

So what is done to calm the suspicion, and the doubt? What they do is they bring out that quad that is least popular (the same with the 3 numbers). In so doing they quiet all inquiring minds, absorb a lesser hit, and all is well with the Lottery world. And all is also well with the lottery questioners, ranters, and the beat goes on!

That said, this is the Best News for us, we who do the math, and workout the numbers, find the thread, do the handicaping of numbers average, do the homework etc. Why is it good news? Well it takes us out of the Gambling Drudge and places us more into the Investment Bracket; we are investors in numbers we know is due to come out.

We watch our number's stock go down, then we see it come up, It makes us Winners! So lets play on, be nice to the lottery wise guys, they are our friends in this fun cat and mouse game of digits. Here's to the real players. See you in the chat room.
