The citizenry and government of the US were also bankrupted by the Cold War, but US citizens can't think of a single thing higher to aspire to than being an empire, having a dictator instead of a president. Of course, they haven't yet digested the fact that they're bankrupt. Jack

Thanks for the comment. I'll not suggest this prez hasn't made his mistakes and done some ill-deeds. I'm sure he has. But you have to keep in mind that he's just choo-chooing down a track that was created a long time ago, a track that's been followed by every prez since WWII. The unconstitutional powers of the prez we take for granted today were provided to allow President Roosevelt enough elbow room to conduct WWII. Those powers continued through the cold war beca... i agree. i don't like the guy either,i definitely agree with you on that.a lot of what you just said is certainly true.i'm not leaning toward democrat or republican but this "king" we have now comes off as an arrogant you know what to me.he is really gotten this country in a huge mess here in the last five years.......
