Unless that dog was suspected to be rabid, or had attacked someone else, or was a known biter ..... their actions were reprehensible.

We slaughter countless cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and many others on a daily basis...Thousands upon thousands. The real nightmare is here on Erth

that wan't a killing... it was murder! plain, simple, and fact. but don't worry, he'll get his day, too. most likely while on the job. that dog now haunts him and will till the murder is brought back on himself.
