Thanks Jarasan! Excellent commentary. I would hope those bacteria are at work if they're not being poisoned by Corexit. Maybe they're immune to what's toxic to us.

They should get an oil vacuum and suck the scum up and refine it. I thought oil floated in any form...........the fact that as you go deeper it gets colder.... it should congeal and float up???????????? sitting static may be an indicator that the crude oil eating bacteria, phytoplankton, and other gulf fauna are doing their best to consume it.
