Voters, I believe have lots' o clout, just look at the last election. The cowardly dems in Wisconsin Ohio and Indiana are heading for the hills...............why do you think?????????? They are no longer the majority neither are the unions and that is why they are going to go down hard, they can't accept the reality of losing and getting with the program, thanks to the voters, remember as our great leader stated "ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES".

<br />The industrial revolution made it possible for a larger segment of the population to work year-round, since this labor was not tied to the season and artificial lighting made it possible to work longer each day. Peasants and farm laborers moved from rural areas to the factories, and working time during a year has been significantly higher since then.[5] Before collective bargaining and worker protection laws, there was a financial incentive for a company to maximize the return on expensive... [ More ]

The last political force we have left in the US, is the voter, not the unions. The executive branch in DC is being run by a union puppet whose strings are held by the likes of Dick Trumka, if that doesn't bother us we are in trouble. According to Andrea Mitchell GANGSTAPUPPETTOTUSPOS hasn't spoken to 6 of his cabinet members in 2 years yet Trumka is in daily communication with the white house. The unions, taxes, and govt. over regulation are sucking the last breaths of life this great nation has left. Competition, not demands of workers and taxes energizes an economy.... [ More ]

You are right Rick G, strange that I agree with your point.I can't believe some of you people would tried to take away the Union. It would be very stupid for the common person still working to want to break the Unions whether you have them or not has something to do with the way you are treated on your jobs. The 40hrs work wk. ,wages increase , sick days ,holiday pay, health care, child labor law, maternity leave, bereavement leave, family leave act and etc.So if you are retired and think you have nothing to lose so be it.... [ More ]

<br />"The fight in Wisconsin is over Governor Walker's 144-page Budget Repair Bill. The parts everyone is focusing on have to do with the right to collectively bargain being stripped from public sector unions (except for the unions that supported Walker running for Governor). Focusing on this misses a large part of what the bill would do. <br /><br />Read more: http://www.benzinga.com/11/02/878775/how-walkers-wisconsin-plan-allows-for-the-selling-of-energy-assets-with-no-bids#ixzz1Et25GZBb<br... [ More ]

Not to be confused with private sector employee unions. These public sector unions are at the heart of the economic troubles that most USA states face. These unions feed the Democratic political machines. The USA taxpayer pays these union public sector employees their salaries, pensions and healthcare for life. Does someone pay for your healthcare and pensions for life? H3ll no. They should all be made illegal. If they don't like it, fire them all! There are 46 million unemployed USAmericans that will be willing to step in and take over, trust me there is nothing special about anything they do.............and don't give me that police and firefighter crap, it ain't rocket science, teachers, bureaucrats, let the free market and common sense run the local, state govts. and federal also.

One of the big points being left out of the discussion is the difference between public and private sector unions.

Taxpayers have been screwed forever and again are being screwed by the obfuscation of the subject and we are sick of it.

... [ More ]
