Instead of a dry socket what's needed is a blood clot to form that will stay there long enough for gum to grow over and cover the jaw bone. Otherwise, every time air or anything else hits it, it would be very painful. Maybe your kind thoughts and others coming my way is working 'cause not much pain today.
