What I meant by that statement is to be super polite to them which is something they may not expect adults to do. I find that and a smile from the heart works wonders to melt barriers.

Nope, I sincerely hope they don't follow our example. I'd like to see them serve out their decades on this planet with some peace and harmony in their lives. With some respect for the lives of others. With some respect for the planet we've chosen to live on. With a regard for their descendants and a determination to leave some resources for them to use in an environment that doesn't poison them. Seems that at our age we need to show by example how the younger generation should behave then perhaps the ones who have some background and substance will catch on after they grow past rebellious teen years. The ones who don't have it will simply have to learn in the school of hard knocks, but isn't that the way it's always been?????????

My old buddy Mel used to say of insurance, "You crazy? I'm supposed to bet against a rich guy who wants me to bet that I'm going to (get sick), (wreck my car), (get my house burned down)? i've been thinking about the moving.new orleans got destroyed by a natural disaster.memphis will be next.these things come in threes.an earthquake is said to be 7.7 if it hits here which will destroy the whole city.most of which is not earthquake proof.something even more scary to ponder is i called for earthquake insurance and safeco said last year was the last year it was going to be sold.not a good sign....

i'm 30 years old but i can already see the difference in the younger people that are in their teens.after paying for my meal at the restaurant drive thru window i said "thank you" instead of a "your welcome" or "have a nice day" i got the window slammed in my face.or i called customer service at aol only to get someone speaking chinese,lol.better yet after that the computer automated machine kept wanting to ask me questions.those things irritate the hell out of me....
