Below is an example of a wheel:

Wheel

- Pick 6

- 12 Numbers

- 3 Combinations

- 0.324675% Coverage of 924 Combinations

Condition

- If 6 Drawn Numbers are in the Set of 12 Numbers,

- Then at least 1 Combination has 3 Winning Numbers.

____________________________________________

04 07 08 10 11 12

01 03 05 06 09 10

02 03 05 06 07 11

____________________________________________

The condition of the wheel tells you what you can expect when the conditions are matched.

In this case, when 6 of the numbers drawn are the same as any of the 12 numbers used in this wheel there will be at least one line, or play, that has 3 of the drawn numbers in it.

First you select any 12 numbers for your state s lottery.

Then you replace the set of 12 numbers with the ones you've selected.

Example, I could select these numbers: 10 05 29 33 49 01 02 17 21 38 40 37.

Then I would assign them to the numbers in my wheel:

01 = 10, 02 = 05, 03 = 29, 04 = 33, 05 = 49, 06 = 01, 07 = 02, 08 = 17, 09 = 21, 10 = 38, 11 = 40, 12 = 37

The wheel is made in the following:

04 07 08 10 11 12 -- 33 02 17 38 40 37

01 03 05 06 09 10 -- 10 29 49 01 21 38

02 03 05 06 07 11 -- 05 29 49 01 02 40

The combos can be sorted like on a play ticket to give the final set:

02 17 33 37 38 40

01 10 21 29 38 49

01 02 05 29 40 49

Now, if the numbers drawn are 05 17 21 29 37 49, then there should be at least one line with 3 winning numbers or More.

02 17 33 37 38 40

01 10 21 29 38 49

01 02 05 29 40 49

Looks like there are 2 lines with 3 winning numbers, the second and third line.

Also, note there could be more than one line with 3 or more winning numbers.

... [ More ]
