<br />I agree with capett02...usually the more value to society one is, the less money they make. But who cares? People who chase money are chasing an illusion. Value to society is wealth.

I am like you - party neutral to avoid any controversy. With that said, I think it is sad that a soldier and teacher make so little when those are two of the most critical occupations in America.
