There are plenty of things I don't want my taxes paying but that has never been something that we can dictate to anyone running our government. If you don't care about innocent people going to jail, I feel sorry for you and I can't understand that kind of mentality. It seems totally against the freedoms this country stands for. Arrested illegally or legally, not my problem. The government doesn't have any money to bail people out of jail - they have to take it away from other people first. Ask those other people if they want the government to take their money away and give it to someone else so they can get bailed out of jail.

Say a person (Man or Woman) is legitimately on welfare and gets arrested. Say it is a bad arrest as well, they are not guilty of a crime. A) They are innocent until proven guilty. B) They are allowed bail. Just where would they get the money to pay the bail if not from their EBT card? It's not like they would have a pile of money sitting around. That is their only source of income. It is ridiculous to oulaw using the card! I'd say it violates bas... [ More ]
