They're sometimes referred to as the Lost Tribe. They're supposed to be a mix of Indian and Portuguese.<br />They were here when the first explorers came through and there are legends about where they came from. Some say they're the descendants of the Lost Colony of Jamestown that disappeared and mixed with the Indians.
