He didn't win the largesy county in NC. And the only reason he won those small counties is because of underhanded re-districting.

There were so many christian evangelicals that stayed home that usually vote republican. The only tossup state he carried in the south was North Carolina.

Lil Speedy so true .... the middle and poor class spoke up .... the super packs thought they could use enough money to win the race ... it just did not happen

I agree with your first reason. But the reasons above also helped lead to Mitt Romney's defeat. In fact, he nor his running mate could carry their own state.

The majority of his followers did not want to read or listen to opposing viewpoints. Obama voters have their agenda set in stone and when Obama's term is up his voter base will latch onto the next candidate with the same agenda,<br />Simple as that.

Reasons why Mitt Romney lost the election

He was a flip-flopper. He said whatever a particular crowd wanted to hear without meaning a word of it. He was a habitual liar. He told so many until he could not remember them all. He was a carpet-bagger in the South. (GI) He tried to portray himself as severely conservative in order to appease the so-called right-wing tea-party. He did not respect the abilities of women huge mistake. He did not take the minority vote serious was a major factor to his losing key states. He never explained his belief as a Mormon. This made many Christians uneasy since he spent millions of dollars on TV ads identifying Mormons as a separate group of believers that had similar beliefs of a Christian, but didn t called themselves one. He was trying to accomplish something that his daddy couldn t. He failed to connect with Middle America.
