Portions of this gun bill just went to far.<br />With background checks this legislation had the intentions of going to far with deciding who may own a gun for those with the mental capacity to own a gun.<br />Even the NRA was in favor of background checks. The current background checks are not fully enforced as they stand now.<br />The senate would not even vote in favor of an amendment to allow veterans to own a gun for those ok'd by a judge....
