It all depends on how you couch the question.

They asked if you think it's ok for the government to get secret court orders to obtain millions of phone records.

Well, they're not just obtaining millions of phone records, they're obtaining virtually everybody's phone records.

And where did this line about secret court orders come from all of a sudden?

Where does the 4th Amendment come into play?

I'll tell ya though, after seeing man-on-the-street interviews and seeing people willingly signing scam surveys that agree to give up our Constitutional rights, I don't have a lot of faith in the collective intellect of average Americans anymore.

You gotta figure half of them are Democrats and that means low-information, don't know, don't care kind of people who couldn't tell you who the Vice President is if their life depended on it, not to mention the branches of government or maybe a Supreme Court Justice or two.

So I don't believe the majority of Americans would really support the government spying on them if you asked them straight up and didn't tweak the question to produce a desired response.

Does this mean I don't trust Pew Research to give legitimate polling/survey results anymore?

Yep!

After witnessing the steady stream of unfathomable lies and corruption coming out of Washington on a scale never before imagined, I don't trust anybody anymore.

http://www.people-press.org/2013/06/10/majority-views-nsa-phone-tracking-as-acceptable-anti-terror-tactic/

... [ More ]
