<br />Found out she is a shepard mix...don't know why I didn't think of that. Her face does look like a German Shepard. She is around 1 or 2 years old.

<br />I saw a video back in march about a dog in Los Angeles living in filth. The part that hit my nerve the most and made me teary eyed was that the dog was blind, but the kicker for me was that despite not being able to see, the dog was holding on like a hero. <br /><br />Here's the link to that video. Some of you may have seen the story lately about the 130 dogs rescued in San Bernadino. My heart just broke when I saw this particular photo of one of the dogs after it had been taken to the Devore Shelter. Guess we can't explain why some things touch us more than others. I really wanted them all after seeing the pictures but couldn't get this one out of my mind. I wanted this baby!

Yesterday I found a few Facebook pages where they were focusing on these dogs and posted this photo on a couple of them asking if anyone knew what happened to this little guy.

These dogs can only be given to rescue places since they've been living in packs and have not socialized with humans that much. I had read that a rescue group here in Sacramento went and picked up 35 of the dogs.

Someone responded on the Friends of Freddie Facebook page that this dog had been picked up by the Sacramento Independant Rescue Group. (Guess Facebook's actually good for something,lol)

WHAT WERE THE ODDS ?? LOL. I couldn't believe it.

It's not like she's mine (YET :) but I feel like we're destined to be together.

I feel like I won the lottery :)

Here is the email I received today:

I'm going to give this place a call and see what other information I can find out about her. The dogs just arrived at the rescue a day or so ago. She most probably won't be put up for adoption for quite some time but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

And, in the meantime,I'm trying to think of some baby names in case I get lucky again and have the chance to bring this little love home some day..
