Woman Found Superglued To Home Depot Toilet Seat In Alleged Prank

A woman in north Georgia says she is still recovering from injuries she endured when an apparent prankster superglued the toilet seats in a Home Depot. But now police aren't so sure she didn't orchestrate the incident herself.

Nearly two weeks after Illyanna De La Keur was rescued from the restroom of the Banks County Home Depot, the Georgia mother told local station WSB-TV that she's still barely able to sit up.

De La Keur said she didn't realize anything was amiss when she sat down on the Home Depot toilet seat while shopping with family the day before Thanksgiving. However after the glue was discovered, Home Depot employees were forced to call in emergency responders.

The extraction process took close to an hour and left De La Keur with several painful injuries including ripped skin, she told WSB-TV. Indeed,in raw video footage of the incident De La Keur can be clearly heard crying out in pain.

I couldn't understand why they weren't just taking me to an emergency room and having a doctor remove it, De La Keur told WSB-TV.

Following the rescue, police opened an investigation in an effort to identify the culprit responsible for the bathroom's sticky surprise, The Smoking Gun reports. Home Depot manager Mary Dean told police that she found a paper bag containing a bottle of Loctite Go2 Glue on the bathroom floor. According to the Loctite website, the product is an all-purpose glue that is water resistant, dries crystal clear, and sets with no clamping.

However in an odd twist, the Banks County Sheriff's Office said that after reviewing security camera footage, it appears no one besides De La Keur entered the bathroom during the window when the glue presumably was applied.

There is no evidence to show that someone did it besides who was in there, Deputy Sheriff Carissa McFaddin announced Dec. 9, the Augusta Chronicle reports. McFaddin added there was not enough evidence to charge anyone at this time.
