Could've, would've, should've don't break records. Records are made to be broken. This one to the dismay of some Whites was done by a Black man. Plain and simple. End of story.

Oh heck, why not? It was 12,364 for Aaron and 8,399 for Ruth. Might as well compare apples to apples instead of oranges, right? Who knows what the Babe would have done with the extry 3,965 at bats that Aaron had? I liked Hank and there's no doubt he was a great ballplayer but he was no Babe Ruth. Hank is his own man. He was hated by some before he broke Babe Ruth record and received death threats when he was about to. You can't let fear run your life. Hank has always spoke his mind. Hank is one of my heroes.
