A few entries down (#78) I wrote about Bubba the special needs dog. Went looking for him again today on the web and saw this updated story. Crying happy tears for this little guy! I fell in love with him back in July when coming across his story. So so happy to see he's with this wonderful family now. This little guy deserves it!!! God Bless the Kubes!! Bubba,I'm smiling and wiggling now too :)

Bubba's Happy Tail

It's official . . . Bubba has been adopted! Bubba came to us as a puppy with a spinal cord injury. He was incontinent and unable to use his hind legs very well. It's challenging to care for a dog with special needs, so despite his joyful personality, Bubba waited 18 long months for his special family.

John, Karen and their daughter Kayla met Bubba by chance, when passing by our Adoption Center in Pacific Grove. Charmed by his determination and happy personality, they visited Bubba several more times and decided to start by fostering him. Two months later, they realized that despite the extra care

he needs, they couldn't imagine life without his smiling face and happy wiggles.

Bubba made many friends in the time he spent with us. We'd like to thank the AFRP volunteers who cuddled him, took him for walks and made him feel loved; Dr. Richmond at Natural Veterinary Therapy for donating water therapy, massage and acupuncture sessions; and Casa de Amigos for being his loving home until he found his family. Most of all, we'd like to thank you Kubes family for giving this

special boy the loving home he deserves. Our hearts could not be more full of happiness!

... [ More ]
