We have a ton of work ahead of us. Everything starts with the kids. Most likely they are accustomed to all the things that are, NOT so good for them. I don t even have to mention what.

Those things are doing a serious number of dumbing them down .

They don t even have to know how to spell anymore. (Or homework assignments practically just run a search on it. Done! Scary!)

Google and spellcheck and smartphones will do it for them.

What do we do about it? The beast has been unleashed.

Moderation may be the key, but how do you tell a kid that they can only use their device for 2 hours a day when they are accustomed to taking it to bed with them. (24/7 and even the young ones scary!)

We can t go back in time and start fresh. (I wish!)

I have never owned a smartphone, just a regular one with text messaging.

Don t want one. Just my PC to do my work on. My systems.

I and a few others know that it is doing a serious number on them.

I am talking to some people about this and it needs addressed and soon.

I don t have the answer right now.

But I do know that the smartphones are NOT making them smarter.

That is a problem.
