			<description><![CDATA[<p>We have a ton of work ahead of us. Everything starts with the kids. Most likely they are accustomed to all the things that are, NOT so good for them. I don t even have to mention what.<br /><br />Those things are doing a serious number of dumbing them down .<br /><br />They don t even have to know how to spell anymore. (Or homework assignments practically just run a search on it. Done! Scary!)<br /><br />Google and spellcheck and smartphones will do it for them.<br /><br />What do we do about it? The beast has been unleashed.<br /><br />Moderation may be the key, but how do you tell a kid that they can only use their device for 2 hours a day when they are accustomed to taking it to bed with them. (24/7 and even the young ones scary!)<br /><br />We can t go back in time and start fresh. (I wish!)<br /><br />I have never owned a smartphone, just a regular one with text messaging.<br /><br />Don t want one. Just my PC to do my work on. My systems.<br /><br />I and a few others know that it is doing a serious number on them.<br /><br />I am talking to some people about this and it needs addressed and soon.<br /><br />I don t have the answer right now.<br /><br />But I do know that the smartphones are NOT making them smarter.<br /><br />That is a problem.<br /><br />... &#x5b;&#xa0;<a href="/blogentry/92697">More</a>&#xa0;&#x5d;</p>]]></description>
