Actually, music, the andromeda galaxy is heading towrads our at 75,000 miles per second.

onlymoney, You are correct the rate of expansion is increasing. In other words we are speeding up how fast our Milky Way Galaxy is traveling away from our neighbors i.e. the Andromeda Galaxy.

I just thought about this. Despite everything some of us know about gravity, and the wells it causes in space time, there's even a more compelling reason why gravity exists.

Since the Big bang, everything is accelerating. Not until recent history has science thought otherwise. They used to think the Universe would fall back in on itself. but later studies showed otherwise. The Universe is expanding.

Gravity on Earth is nothing more then the Earth, Solar System, Galaxy, and bundles of Galaxies rushing away from each other at unbelievable speeds. And since gravity is a weak force according to the contemporary scientists, only the strongest part is felt, which is us beng pulled towards the ground; like a speeding car from zero to 60, but never ending.

Gravity is like sitting in a car that never stops accelerating.
