If one of the parties has property worth $60 Millions, a good lawyer will tell you a legal separation can have a whole new definition, even an old divorce could be redefined.

If they were legally separated is she entitled to anything of his? My daughter is legally apart from her husband and he didn't get anything from the sale of some of her property.
