They should do what everyone else does. Sue. Then they could get something useless like a year subscription to the paper and the lawyers get the million bucks.

Why did they have so many numbers with one combination anyway? That is begging for a mistake. Use letters and numbers in a combination to insure no two combination are taken. I will still always love the Daily News.

What's the total payout anyway? Regardless the newspaper needs to take the full hit and make things right for readers. publisher Mort Zuckerman a billionare real-estate magnate dipped into petty cash and came up with a consolation lottery meant to make the trouble go away. Like pegleg said, proofread before going to press.PS. Can any one of you pick me out in that picture

the buck stops here, there? where?? - they should pay the winners (not necessarily tens of millions) but definitely big-time prizes - it's not only good p.r. - but it's the right thing to dosuggestion: buy them each a new car

I think that the Daily News and D.L. Blair should both put five Million into the pot and then have the special drawing. One million just doesn't cut it. This involves too many people just to shrug it off with a paltry one million dollars. Passing the blame back and forth does not solve the problem. Both parties are equally remiss in letting a mistake, (easily fixed by proof reading copy before publication), get by them. Therefore both should contribute equally.
