North Carolina should come out of the dark ages. NC money has gone to support other states for way too long. It's time for other states to help support NC. A lottery has nothing to do with politics, religion, sex, nationality, heritage, or who is for or who is against a lottery. A lottery has nothing to do with taxes on cigarettes, advertising a lottery, or whether it is a good way to raise money for the state. A North Carolina Senate committee commissioned to take up the House's lottery bill approved two weeks ago will meet this week for the first time.The Senate Select Committee on the Lottery Bill will review the measure narrowly passed by the House.
