I live in Louisiana too and I seldom play the Lotto. The prizes increase only $25k-$50k every time the jackpot rolls. We do need Lotto South. I like how those prizes get in the millions and u can choose ANNUITY if u win. I don't know why people don't check tickets. I always check mine. Of course I'd love to have that $500k winning ticket. I wonder if Louisiana can afford to start the Lotto jackpot at $3 or $4 million. That's sure to get sales up. i'd buy it then.... [ More ]

A man from Houma has claimed the $250,000 Louisiana Lotto jackpot from the April 27th drawing, Louisiana Lottery Corp. officials said on Tuesday.Officials said Bernabe Rivera received $175,000 after federal and state income taxes were withheld.His ticket matched all six Lotto numbers drawn, which were ten, 18, 21, 24, 30 and 32.Rivera purchased the ticket at Super Serve Number Four in Houma.
