Hi every one-I am new here-my first posting....I just want to say I live in NC, and have been playing the Lottery for the pass 8 years. I spend $4 per week and never any more, reguardless of the jackpot amount. It is my oppion that NC should have a lottery. That way the people of NC will not be supporting the VA, SC, GA, TENN, government with the purchase of their Lottery tickets. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this posting.

If North Carolina joins every other state on the East Coast and creates a lottery, the cost of policing it and offering help to problem gamblers could cost several million dollars a year, witnesses told a Senate committee on Wednesday. The state would likely use the lottery's own proceeds to pay for such programs, although that's not addressed in either the House-passed bill to create a lottery or the Senate's budget proposal, which included lottery provisions, approved last week. And Sen.
