Hi Neighbor,I live on the south side so it's only a 4 mile drive for me. It still would be nicer to only walk to the corner store.

Neebie. I live in NC and I am believing that we will get a lottery. I get tired of going to SC to play. NC is always the last to do everything. No wonder they call us the Rip Van Winkle State Tenaj

I really feel the NC needs a lottery. NC is spending millions a year in state that adjoin NC. Why can't the people of NC see this? Wake up NC, you are throwing your money away to other states that are doing just what you say you want to do, and that is to support education.

I sure hope the House and Senate can work out their differences with a lottery resolution that passes both. I'd hate to see another year go by with no lottery there.

North Carolina Governor Mike Easley kicked off budget negotiations with House and Senate leaders by pushing for an aggressively advertised lottery that he would clearly control.
