That's because the youngsters are absolutely too savvy to fall for such things, whereas we elderly are mostly doddering old fools who'll believe anything. I'm always staggered to observe how discerning and remarkably cunning young people are these days.Particularly young scammers. The stupidest of them could outsmart almost any elderly person.Jack

If the people who respond to these things are desparate, there's cause to believe we have some idea why they're desparate. They probably got there by similar choices in the past.Con artists have been around forever and suckers have been around forever. It's not even certain which came first.But these people you feel sorry for are responsible for my spam guard catching about 50 emails a day, and another five or so slipping through to be deleted manually. Well, there are always going to be desperate people. I feel for them. It's hard not knowing how to pay for groceries and medicine. Any promise for mana from heaven is a dream come true. False hope is the cruelest. It isn't the greedy this scam affects, it's the desperate. I wish they could be caught. Why are there so many sociopaths these days? Can not remember where this email address was found but have retained it for the infrequent Nigerian email scam that reaches my in box. Since this lottery scheme is a variation of the Nigerian one this might be a good place to forward those emails.419.fcd@usss.treas.gov

I think a few weeks ago they had one of these scammers on 60 minutes he said there are hundreds of these type people in Canada with fictitious business addresses and such that run these scams 24 hrs a day. They get big kicks out of ripping people off. Beware, do not respond to these type emails or letters or phone calls.
