N.C. lottery still 1 vote shy of passing

It appears that the NC Senate has adjourned until next year... and has not even voted on the lottery. Shame on them

I will remember the lottery opponents at re-election time, especially the 5 democrats that voted against their party!!! They voted NO on the lottery. . . . I will vote NO on their re-election when the next senatorial election comes around. The NCAE (N.C. Association of Educators) even launched a radio campaign to try and convince at least ONE opponent to change their NO' vote to a YES . No Luck so far. They are all still saying NO .

I am unhappy about the whole situation. I get tired of driving to SC to play the lottery. What's wrong with these people down here. I think they should vote, somebody could be holding out. tenaj

I would be ashamed to say that I am a republican in N.C.No republican from N.C. better run for president as I would not vote for them.I would vote for Howdy Doody

I agree with you wizeguy. I would be disappointed if NC still doesn't have a lotto ready for 2005. I wish NC passes a bill to get lotto because I want them to join PB and/or Lotto South.

Raleigh political watchers are trying to figure out whether North Carolina legislators will get a final chance for the year to pass a state lottery.The Senate's biggest lottery advocate says he's trying to figure out the same thing.
