Haven't heard anything about that, but there was adiscussion on CNN about the new law. Seems you have to provide tons of physical documentation under the new law. However, those in New Orleans don't have any documentation to provide. Interesting problem.

Hello all..........has anyone heard the lastest Holiday surprise that congress has planned for us?I understand that part of their new bankruptcy law includes that the credit card companies and banks.........will be required to change thier required mimimum payment from 2% to 4%..........guess it's supposed to take effect late October.........does anyone have any further information about our secret Holiday Surprise

I had seen machines like this at Off Track Betting Parlors for horse racing and wondered why they haven't made there way to lottery

NJ has huge push to prevent under age gambling on the lottery. Posters every where, radio and TV advertisement, etc. In the long run, it probably works like every law on the books. Only honest people obey them. I remember seeing a Lottomat in Ohio. I probably wouldn't use one if they were available in NY.

You can't use credit. Gambling on credit is illegal in a lot of states.And as for age, college students in all (but 3) states can play the lottery. And it's not like it's even that much of a priority, a few underagers here and there doesn't hurt anything. Just as long as it's not rampage of 12-year old scratch addicts, it's no big deal.

Can you use credit and check cards on those machines? How do you verify the age of the player? I visualize some college brat going nuts with mommies credit card. I learned a zillion years ago, credit cards and gambling don't mix. It took me years to get my credit back! Now, it is a check card or cash.

ohio use to have self serve online lottery machines. but they did away with them years ago.

That is true, but I have only noticed them in Supermarkets like Von's/Safeway. Not only lottery tickets, but also scratch off's. Escondido John
