that father is an opportunist. apple really doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?i hope he loses. his son is responsible for his own actions. you don't sue the Kennedy's because they're rich and you're not.

I just saw an ad on the televison about Jack Whittaker..They didn't name him but he is being sued by the father of the boy who died (Jesse). The father apparently is alleging that Jack and his millions contributed to his son's death. I would guess by making so much money available to his grand daughter and her buying drugs galore. The trial is set to start July 10th. The father has hired famous Nashville lawyer Bart Durham. He may regret getting the lump sum.

In America, we only admire winners. Doesn't matter how they became winners, or who they hurt to become winners, just so they are winners. They can make it off booze, they can make it off of lying, anything is open - except drugs. Then when they fail, we strike like a Cobra.

he has made some very unwise decisions that have made a lot of people think he didn't deserve to win.do a search shalini.the man has had money stolen from him because he left hundreds of thousands of dollars locked in his vehicle.he has been arrested for alcohol issues.he was almost poisoned by someone at a racetrack looking to gain his wealth.i think he might've had a sexual harrasment charge against him from a strip club incident.he has had a granddaughter die of drugs since he won.too many th... From all accounts, prior to his winning, he was a respected business man. Acronymm007 hit the nail on the head, there is something called Sudden Wealth Syndrone. Any of us could be hit with it once we won. Part of the key to success would be to stay out of the press, t.v. and spotlight. Low profile and you'll win half the battle.

Jack made two bad decisions after winning his lottery jackpot, 1.) going on national television (all 3 major networks) and 2.)promising to share his wealth with the needy, both which made him a national icon who can't fart without it being covered in the national news. RJOh

I don't agree totally, I think people change with sudden wealth. Jack might have been a better man without the money. You and I in here might not be able to handle such wealth. Of course we all think we can handle better than Jack. I don't go to strip clubs anyway, hate the places but maybe other lotto winners didn't either and became bored with such overwhelming wealth? The man definitely has an aversion to Midas Touch - shows what happens when the ego over rules everything else. Had he stayed under the radar, he would have probably had a happy life. As I have heard numerous times, winning multi-millions doesn't change the person; a sensible person stays a sensible person, and an idiot becomes a rich idiot.
