Sounds as though $126 million jackpot ought to be an actual $40, maybe $45 million after taxes with the lump. It's difficult to come up with any reasoning for quibbling about the rest. If a person who's never seen a hundred grand clear in his life, which describes most Americans, can't do whatever he wants to do on 40M, maybe it's worth reconsidering the wants.Jack

It seems that PB is ready to take off and fly.Sure. Yet not as big as the previous MM's 250M, but certainly not as small as just a few tens. One thing to be mentioned. As Bradly_60 pointed out somewhere, I believe that indeed nothing has changed as far as one is concerned about the cash option value despite the reduced cash value ratio. If one tends to discount an advertised jackpot amount as many would do, then why cares so much about the ratio itself?Very often, the absolute $ amount is more mea... [ More ]

What is the Power Play?Power Play is a special feature that allows a winner to multiply the original prize amount. Powerball players can multiply their Powerball prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times (does not include the jackpot). A player must choose the Power Play option when they buy their Powerball ticket, and then the ticket must match one of the 9 Ways to Win before the multiplier takes effect. Power Play costs an extra $1 per play.

delSI finally won in PB. I had $15 in tickets and the powerplay/multiplier. My powerball number on 5 tickets was 8, unfortunately I didn't have any other balls/numbers to go with the PB #8. But $45 is good any day
