It would do damage if not taken with care. You could fall into the trap of granting the wish to relatives and friends, and then wind up with less than you gave away; then eventually nothing. Remember, most likely, you would have no medical insurance, and everything would come from the stash. One big hit, and as you grow older, that hit becomes more inevitable, then the pot is gone.

Depending on the age of the winner, the change might not be so tremendous - they'll have a whole lot more money than they had last month, but not tremendous. After initial tax - and way before final tax - it comes to around a million and a half. If the winner is in the 50-60 age range, they can live comfortably. If they are in the 20-30 age range, they better be awfully wise.

Six numbers on a ticket sold from Casey's General Store in Mackinaw, Illinois, will bring a tremendous change to the life of one individual.As of Sunday afternoon, the person who purchased the winning ticket to the $4 million Illinois Lottery jackpot had not come forward.
