I was away October 10 through today. I'm glad somebody hit NY Lotto because it will discourage people from throwing their money away on this terrible paying game (despite the cash option.) Hopefully in NY everyone's focus will be on Mega Millions. I played $3 Wednesday in West Virginia PB and won zilch.

I don't know, I have some relatives and friends in the state?By the way, as a former resident of Oregon state, I thank you for your congratulations!! The 9% of tax from the jackpot will help Oregon government .It is amazing, for a long time, Oregon residents didn't win much (even the second prize). And now they make the big surprise.

That's what happened the first time there was a record jackpot after they introduced the cap rule. The cap rule was in effect when Whittaker won the $315 million jackpot - the previous record before Whittaker's was $294 million, so Whittaker's wasn't high enough over the previous record to trigger the Match 5 bonus pool then.
