The replacement game for LS will be called Win for Life. I'm hearing it will have a $520,000 cash option, which would be much lower than the $750,000 prize in the WA scratch game Lucky for Life.

i am all for the powerball,i live 10 minutes from virginia,and play mega millions and lotto south every week.i dont know what n.c. will do on their other games,but powerball was a good move in my opinion.

MM might reconsider if it loses California next year. But with Oklahoma and North Carolina joining Powerball, nowhere else is on the horizon.

I am very disappointed about having to get the PB instead of MM! I for one would have liked to have kept the money in the carolinas. We truly did not need to work against SC which means I was so looking forward to not having to drive to virginia for tickets. I only live 45min from there. I never really cared anything about the pick 3 or 4. My game is the cash 5, I have won several hundreds of dollars in playing that game but not a major prize as of yet but its coming. I support the NC lottery 100 % too but not until I know whether we'll have pick 3. If not they will not get not one penny from me. I'm not interested in powerball and scratch offs.

I for one will still support the lottery and its effort go get the games up and running.I REFUSE to give any quarter to the conservatives who lap up any negative attitudes towards our lottery.It is exactly what they want.They will claim that more people really never wanted the lottery in the first place.Bull,they only want NO ONE to have the lottery.I will not aid them in their non-sence.I support the NC Lottery 100%.

I can't believe they not going to have pick 3 and pick 4 thinking its not going to do well. Pick 3 and Pick 4 is the only reason I wanted NC lottery, i very seldom play for MM or PB. I do some good on scratch, but not enough. My hobby is Pick 3. NC beginning to make me sick with this lottery, I almost rather they did'nt approve it, since its going to be this foolish. Oh yea now I am becoming one of those complaining people. Also no I don't want computerized drawings.

I for one was hoping for MM. I don't mind driving the 5miles to the border of SC to get PB tickets. Is there any way for MM PB to be in one state???? I know wishful thinking.

If you notice,most of them are in the Charlotte area.They wanted the convenience of having both games within a few miles of each other.There is still some confusion if NC will have Pick3 and Pick4,it may be Pick3 or Pick4.It would be nice if that was straighten out on the NC website.

Where is everyone getting that NC isn't going to get pick3 or pick4? From what I have been reading, the progression is going to be Scratchers -> PB -> daily numbers. From what I have heard NC is just not going to start up a 5 or 6 number in state lotto.To the person who was upset about NC getting PB because we lose the SC money, are you insane? Politics.Plain and simple.Gotta protect the people from managing their own money.The state wants their people to be sheep.They protected us for over 20 years from the Evil lottery so we wouldn't all go broke playing it.All the while,the state was taxing us into poverty,and still is.

You don't want Lotto South- It is bad.Does anyone remember what they were doing September 17 ? That is the last time the JP was hit on Lotto South. The JP has rolled 26 times and it is only at $25 million. This is a piss poor pick six game. Not enough states and certainly not enough tickets sold.People play it B/C of the need to play something on Wed and Sat besides pick 3 and 4, but the participation is low. This is me right about now. I also wanted MM. I can drive 5 freakin' minutes across the border to get PB. I know that's not the case with most NC residents, but I think it also screws us with the amount of South Carolinians that would come over the border and support OUR lottery. They had their hands tied about selecting Powerball.The MM isn't taking any new state for about 12 months.At least a major gamewill be available. I would like to have seen NC start the Pick3 and Pick4 games in April.They really need the Pick3.It generates much more interest than the pick4 because of the lower odds.Shaheen is making a mistake with that one.He may be cowtowing to conservatives on that issue.I find that offensive as it seems to enforce certain stereotypes about the games cliental.... I don't know where he is getting his information from about the pick 3 and 4 and besides it stated pick 3 or 4. So it's possible that it will not be a pick 3. There was great concern about certain people playing pick 3 and even having lottery outlet near their neighborhoods. I suspected it from the beginning and Todd told me it was too early in the game to make that assumption. I noticed that they never mentioned Pick 3 and it made me suspicious. The sooner we get the Powerball game up and running the better.Maybe the people will raise cain if they try computerized draws after being exposed to the ball draws.I found it a bit odd that the director said the Pick3 and Pick4 type games don't draw that much interest.Is he basing that on play in NM?The interest may be very different here because of the size of NC compared to NM.
