I don't trust the news media. Just turn on CNN. It's not about reporting the events but entertaining the audience. I agree with everyone who said a lottery winner's past and private life should remain private. Where are they getting this information? I guess anything recorded in a court of law is public information, but it's shameful that such matters have to be printed for the world to read. The media sensationalizes! to S-E-L-L!!!!!They bombard! I wish that ALL lotteries would allow winners to remain annonymous. Only the IRS needs the information. Yep, I could use a few hundred million to get out of poverty.. It seems to me by the indepth interview that the winner would have no problem taking care of the first child fom a previous marriage. Okay Uncle Jim , I can see how your imagination filled in the blanks to the story line. Well I may be mistaken but what it actually said was that he read the sign and then remembered some lottery tickets he had. Now it is clear at this point that he didn't know he was the winner.The next line in the story said after the clerk shouted out the news the media began rushing in and he exited by a side door. I read and re-read the news story- no where does it say that he had the store clerk validate the ticket. He merely was at the store that he purchased the ticket and READ the sign

After going through the bankruptcy experience, not knowing what the future held in store for wife and family, as well as himself.....I'm sure it won't happen again....once you've had that taste you don't ever want to be near it again....Great idea on moving before claiming...if even to a temporary address,,,then to an isolated location after that.

He kept the news to himself and his wife withput broadcasting all around town.2. He got professional advice from lawyers and financial people.3.
